Frequently asked questions

Everything worth knowing about the platform, its sections and how dealings work.

About the platform

What is Arab Community Services?

Arab Community Services (ACS) is a free, comprehensive online directory built to connect the Arabic-speaking community in Europe with professional service providers who speak their mother tongue.

The platform works purely as an introduction service. It makes daily life easier for expatriates, students and families, and helps them get past the language barrier in everyday dealings.

Does using the platform cost anything?

No. The platform is completely free for everyone. It is an introduction service from end to end, and charges no commission, no subscription and no hidden fees — neither to the person looking for a service nor to the one offering it.

Which European countries does the platform cover?

The platform currently covers 6 European countries with a large Arabic-speaking population: Belgium, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, France and Germany.

You can narrow your search precisely by country, city and neighbourhood.

Which languages does the site support?

So that the directory reaches everyone, the site is available in 7 languages: العربية, Nederlands, Français, English, Español, Italiano and Deutsch.

Medical and health care

How do I find an Arabic-speaking doctor near me?

Go to the medical services section and choose the speciality you need — dentistry, internal medicine, ophthalmology, gynaecology and obstetrics, and so on.

Then filter by country, city and neighbourhood to see the doctors near you who speak your language.

Does the medical directory only list clinics and doctors?

No. It covers a complete care pathway: you will also find medical laboratories for tests, and diagnostic imaging centres of every kind — ultrasound, MRI and X-ray.

Legal, accounting and sworn translation

What kinds of legal and advisory support does the platform cover?

The platform covers a wide range of professions that matter to the Arabic-speaking community in Europe:

  • Immigration and asylum: lawyers specialising in residence permits and family reunification.
  • Accounting and tax: Arabic-speaking accountants and tax advisers for your tax returns, company books and invoicing.
  • Translation and certification: legal and sworn translators for official papers and certificates submitted to European authorities.
  • Business law: corporate lawyers for setting up a company and for commercial law.

Property and housing

Can the platform help me find a home or commercial premises?

Yes. The real estate section connects community members, students and investors with Arabic-speaking estate agents across Europe.

They help you find flats to rent, property to buy, or commercial premises for your business — without the language barrier and the complicated rental conditions.

Restaurants and cafés

Can I find restaurants serving Arabic or Middle Eastern food?

Yes. The restaurants and cafés section is a full directory of Arabic, Middle Eastern and halal kitchens in your city.

You can see what each one cooks — Levantine, Moroccan, Gulf and more — along with contact numbers and locations, to visit or order from.

Barbers, salons and beauty

I am looking for a barber or hairdresser who speaks Arabic. Where do I find one?

In the barbers and beauty section, which covers men’s barbershops, women’s hair salons and beauty centres run by Arabic-speaking professionals.

That makes it far easier to explain exactly the cut or treatment you want.

Logistics, cars and shipping

I need car repairs or help moving furniture. Will I find an Arabic-speaking provider?

Yes, the platform has dedicated sections for logistics:

  • Car services: mechanics, auto electricians, bodywork and paint, tyre and oil changes.
  • Shipping and transport: international and local shipping companies, home and office removals with equipped vans, and travel agencies for flight bookings.

Trades and home services

Which trades are listed in the maintenance section?

This section lists Arabic-speaking independent tradespeople and professional firms working in home maintenance: carpenters, metalworkers, painters, tilers, plumbers and domestic electricians.

Shopping, shops and halal products

How do I find the nearest supermarket or butcher selling halal food?

The grocery and supermarket section gives you an accurate map of shops selling halal food and products, listed by street and neighbourhood.

Can I see whether a shop delivers before I contact it?

Yes. Shop owners can publish their full business details, including opening hours, whether halal products are stocked, and whether home delivery is available.

Education and schools

How does the platform help families choose a school?

The schools and education section lets parents browse and compare the institutions available: nurseries, primary, lower and upper secondary schools.

You can look up the curriculum they follow, the languages they teach in, and the backgrounds of their teachers where that is published.

Events and celebrations

Is there help with organising a party or buying gifts?

Yes. The events and celebrations section puts you directly in touch with venues, caterers and full event setup services.

It also lists jewellers and gold shops, and florists for bouquets and arrangements.

Terms, dealings and safety

What does the “Verified” badge next to some accounts mean?

It means our team has administratively checked the professional documents and licences the account holder submitted.

To be clear about what it is not: the badge is not a guarantee of the quality or the outcome of a service. The final check remains your own responsibility.

How do bookings, payments and contracts work on the site?

The platform is a free introduction directory, so every financial agreement, booking and actual conversation happens directly off the platform, by phone or WhatsApp.

We take no commission and carry no legal responsibility for dealings between the two parties.

I am a service provider. How do I list my business?

Registration is open to everyone and free. Create an account, describe your services, add your contact numbers and place yourself on the map — and you start receiving enquiries from the Arabic-speaking community in your city straight away.
